中英贸易协会和英国皇家特许建造会于5月7日在上海成功联合主持了上海历史风貌区和历史建筑保护研讨会暨中英历史建筑和开发沙龙。
上海外滩投资发展（集团）有限公司作为此次活动的主办方之一是上海外滩地区历史建筑的主要业主之一， 其母公司上海久事集团几乎拥有上海外滩所有建筑物的所有权。历史保护性建筑也是目前英国企业所面临的一个潜在市场。
CBBC and CIOB (Chartered Institute of Building) hosted a half day Historic/Heritage Building Protection and Commercialization including a roundtable discussion on 7th May afternoon, 2019, in British Centre Shanghai.
One of the organizers for this event was Shanghai Bund Investment Development (Group) Co., Ltd., who are one of the major owners of the historic building along Shanghai Bund areas. Its parent company, Shanghai Jiushi Group, has ownership of almost all of the buildings along the Shanghai Bund. Heritage building is a new potential market in china opening up and providing many opportunities for UK enterprises.
